In this instalment, we have the pleasure of chatting with Daria Gapska, a local creator from Ballymena, who has made a name for herself in the industry. After winning the Miss Northern Ireland 2022 title, the 20-year-old student nurse revealed that it was the 'Beauty with a Purpose' component of the competition that initially inspired her to apply for the 2022 contest.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got started as a content creator?
I come from a background working in healthcare, nursing sector. I have always however enjoyed social media and content creation. Winning Miss Northern Ireland boosted my platform more and gave me more opportunities to be creative and create content.
What's your favourite type of content to create, and why?
My favourite type of content to create is anything relatable, especially surrounding beauty and fashion, that I know my followers will love.
How do you approach partnerships with brands, and what do you look for in a collaboration?
I love working with and supporting local, authentic brands here in the UK & Ireland. Working with home grown brands is one of my favourite.
What's one piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to become a content creator?
I would encourage them to be consistent with their content, there are many people involved with content creation nowadays, so it is also important to stay true to yourself and focus on what you enjoy posting.
What's one thing you wish people knew about being a content creator?
I feel over the past few years more people have accepted content creation to be genuine work, however many still do not understand the time and effort that may go in to even the shortest of clips.
Q6: How do you stay current and innovative in such a fast-paced industry, and what tactics do you use to adapt to trends and changes?
Although it is a highly fast-paced industry, I am very involved in social media, so it is very easy for me to stay on top of everything going on. I also work in marketing and social media therefore it is part of my everyday role and I'm very much in that world!
